On 22 August 2026, a concert by the Polish National Song Choir took place at the Notre-Dame Basilica in Boulogne-sur-Mer, France. The event attracted a large audience, who had the opportunity to experience a unique programme of traditional and sacred Polish music in the extraordinary setting of one of the region’s most important basilicas.

At 8:00 p.m., the first sounds of the concert filled the walls of the basilica, opening an evening dedicated to Polish culture and music. The Polish National Song Choir, which travelled to France from Poland, performed under the direction of Elżbieta Bilmin, together with The Consonance Band and soloists of the Podlasie Opera and Philharmonic – Paulina Malinowska-Dołkin and Maciej Nerkowski. Guest performer Romain Marce from Boulogne-sur-Mer also joined the artists on stage.

The concert was a unique meeting of cultures and an opportunity to present the beauty of Polish music beyond the country’s borders. The event was organised on the initiative of Suempol and Marcel Baey, in cooperation with the City of Boulogne-sur-Mer and the Parish of Boulogne-sur-Mer.

For years, Suempol has been involved in supporting culture and socially engaged initiatives. As the patron and strategic sponsor of the Polish National Song Choir, the company supports the artistic development of the ensemble, enabling the implementation of further projects and the presentation of Polish cultural heritage on the international stage.

The evening at the Notre-Dame Basilica was filled with emotions, exceptional sounds and an atmosphere that will remain in the memory of participants for a long time. It was another example of how music can bring people together, promote Polish culture and build connections between communities.
