Suempol to najstarszy producent łososia wędzonego w Polsce i jeden z największych na świecie. Jego siedziba i główny zakład produkcyjny znajdują się w Bielsku Podlaskim, a historia przedsiębiorstwa sięga 1989 roku. Dzisiejsza pozycja firmy została osiągnięta dzięki udanym wcześniejszym przejęciom na rynkach zagranicznych w Niemczech, Francji, a także Wielkiej Brytanii, przez co oferta grupy nie ogranicza się jedynie do łososia. Warto podkreślić, że początki działalności Suempol w latach 80. XX wieku były związane z przetwórstwem i eksportem krewetek do Holandii i Belgii. Belgian Company Van Biesen & Pieters Joins the Suempol Family

In the year 2025 we have made another ambitious step in the development of Suempol, which has acquired 100% of the shares in the Belgian company Van Biesen & Pieters, located in Sint-Gillis-Waas. Van Biesen & Pieters specializes in shrimp processing and distribution, thereby expanding the Suempol family’s portfolio with a new product segment that will be offered to our partners and customers.

Suempol is the oldest producer of smoked salmon in Poland and one of the largest in the world. Its headquarters and main production plant are located in Bielsk Podlaski, and the company’s history dates back to 1989. Suempol’s current market position has been achieved thanks to previous successful acquisitions in Germany, France, and the United Kingdom, which have expanded the company’s offer beyond salmon. It is worth emphasizing that Suempol’s beginnings in the 1980s were connected with the processing and export of shrimp to the Netherlands and Belgium. This year’s acquisition marks a return to its roots, while simultaneously expanding the company’s range with top-quality shrimp and opening new development opportunities.

Van Biesen & Pieters is a renowned Belgian family business, with origins dating back to the 1940s. In recent years it has recorded significant growth, quadrupling its turnover. Its success is rooted in a consistent focus on the quality of its products, directly contributing to high customer satisfaction. The brand is well known for its premium quality and innovative, market-oriented approach.
