Nigiri with salmon and avocado
100 g raw salmon
200 g rice for sushi (short grained)
2 tablespoon wasabi
2 tablespoons of soya sauce
Ingredients for rice preparation:
4 tablespoons of rice vinegar
2 tablespoons of sugar
a pinch of salt.
Prepare rice according to the instruction on the packet. Mix rice vinegar, sugar and salt and heat them up until all the ingredients will mix –do not boil it! Pour sauce over the rice, mix it and let it cool-the best to leave it covered.
Cut salmon into small pieces approx 3cm x 5 cm. Cut avocado in small sticks approx. 1 cm x 3 cm. Take small amount of cooled rice and form it into rolling pins, similar in length as the slices of salmon. Spread wasabi on rice, put salmon and avocado on the top then tie it with nori fettuccine, soaked in water.
